We are growers. Not a supplement brand with a warehouse.

Ushara Biotech is a spirulina farm in Bhimavaram. We cultivate it, harvest it, dry some of it, and keep the rest alive. That is the entire business, and we would rather do that one thing properly.

01 / Where

Bhimavaram, in the delta.

This is the Krishna–Godavari delta: flat, wet, and about as close to permanent sunshine as India gets. It is also the middle of the country's shrimp belt — drive in any direction from here and you will pass hatcheries and grow-out ponds for an hour.

Spirulina wants heat, light and alkaline water. Hatcheries want a larval feed that has not spent three weeks in a container. Both of those facts point to the same piece of ground, so that is where we built.

03 / The lab

Two companies, one yard, and we keep the names straight.

Ushara Biotech grows and sells spirulina — this website, these two product lines.

Ushara Aqua Labs is a water-testing laboratory serving farms and hatcheries across the district. It is a sister business, not a department, and it has clients who have never bought a gram of spirulina from us.

The overlap is the useful part: our water goes across the yard before a pond is started, and our biomass goes across the yard before it ships. But they are two businesses, and you should not read a lab's credentials onto a farm's label.
